These machines are Modular by name and modular by nature
and make the best use of limited installation space.
Photomec Modular processors are designed and constructed as a series of self-contained
modules, each containing its own chemical control system, with temperature controllers
and replenishment flow meters located on separate wall-mounted panels. Inherent
in this form of unit construction is a high degree of flexibility that is convenient
for modifying the film process, whilst offering a compact daylight-operated
continuous film processor which is easy to install and maintain and will give
many years of reliable operation.
These machines are available for 70 mm, dual 35/16mm or single S16 operation
at moderate output speeds for all motion picture and photographic processes
including ECP2D, ECN, VNF1, E6, C41, RW1 rewash and laser title rewash.
Modular processors are built to meet film manufacturers’ rigid specifications and include the following standard features:
- Demand drive film transport system that ensures smooth, controlled motion
of your valuable film stocks
- Stainless steel chassis and cabinets with tanks in stainless steel or
titanium as required by the process specification
- Inverter controlled AC drive motor with sealed for life gearbox
- High velocity air impinged film-drying system
- Automatic wash water saving system with counter current wash tank arrangement
- Wash water manifold for distribution and control of each wash tank unit
- Air vacuum squeegee to each crossover position with vacuum pump and control
as standard
- Magnetic drive circulation pumps with separate high volume agitation pumps
as required by the process
- All solutions are individually temperature controlled, heated and filtered
with digital temperature displays and precise temperature control
- Daylight operation
- PIMOS-M Management System
PIMOS Management System
Using P-L-C (Programmable Logic Control) hardware, Photomec
have developed the PIMOS Software System to manage film processing machine control.
This system, situated at the take-off station, allows a touch screen for operator
use with visual indication of the following machine functions and conditions:
- Feed on elevator position
- Film format (i.e. 35mm or leader) being loaded at feed on end
- Wash water flow indication
- Digital speed
- Chemical and dryer temperature displays with facility for simple adjustment
- Chemical timer with Seven day timed on/off
- Standby timer with variable on/off cycle
- Manual override
- Total machine running hours
- Total footage count
- Simple diagnostic faultfinding display
- Routine maintenance prompts
- Low voltage signaling wiring
- Pump or heater failure
- Film break location
Optional equipment includes:
- CCD in-line film viewer for checking of processed film before processor
take-up
- Logging of PIMOS data directly into Microsoft Excel for complete monitoring
of the processor anywhere in the laboratory
- Hardcopy report of processed film footage with date and time
- PIMOS modem link to our factory for remote technical support
